Case Study: Portland’s Tri-Met
Tri-Met is a public transport company in the Portland, Oregon
area which has integrated the Federal buy recycled-program into its everyday
operations.
Tri-Met runs a fleet of 670 buses – providing 62 million bus
trips and purchasing 55,000 gallons of lubricating oil every year.
Under
its Green Policy, Tri-Met has now switched to using re-refined oil
in it’s entire fleet. This re-refined oil is recycled from
used oil products.
