LANDCARE AUSTRALIA
 Landcare
is a fantastic volunteer network of more than 4,000 community groups in
every corner of Australia involved in the protection, management and rehabilitation
of our environment - from our farmland to our bushland, from rivers to
our cities.
Landcare is a uniquely Australian partnership between the government,
the community and business to do something practical about protecting
and repairing our environment.
Coastcare is a national program that encourages community involvement
in the protection, management and rehabilitation of our coastal and marine
environments. The Coastcare program helps local communities form partnerships
to carry out projects that improve and protect our coastal and marine
habitats.

Australia Limited
Landcare Australia Limited is a not-for-profit organisation that raises
awareness and sponsorship support for the Landcare and Coastcare movements.
Landcare Australia Ltd further supports the Landcare and Coastcare movements
by helping governments, businesses and communities to become partners
in awareness campaigns and environmental repair projects in degraded areas
around Australia.
Landcare Australia encourages all Australians to adopt the Landcare and
Coastcare ethic by participating in Landcare and Coastcare projects. Some
examples are found in 'Action Town!'.
Landcare Australia's activities include:
- Raising sponsorship for Landcare and Coastcare from businesses and
industry;
- Raising community awareness through campaigns such as National Landcare
Week and the National Landcare Awards;
- Coordinating large national projects and organising promotions; and
- Helping Landcare groups to carry out their own local fundraising and
education activities.
