'Ollie Saves the Planet' introduces the concept of sustainability
around the action issues of water, waste, energy, air,
and biodiversity.
The catchcry for 'Ollie Saves the Planet' is "Join Ollie
to Reduce, Reuse, Recycle and Rethink."
Leading the way in interactive environmental education
As with the original 'Ollie Recycles' Program, 'Ollie Saves the
Planet' leads the way in interactive environmental education. It
brings together the issues of Water, Waste, Energy, Air and Biodiversity
under the organising principle of Sustainability.
These topics are often taught as unrelated themes. We believe the
time has come for a one-stop shop for teachers, students and parents
- where these issues can be presented together, in the context of
sustainability. This will lead to greater understanding of:
- The interconnectedness of these issues
- The role we all play in achieving sustainability in our communities
around the planet.
