- In the UK we use 13 billion steel cans each year. If we stacked them on top of each other, they would reach the moon – three times!
- 3 out of 4 of the cans in your supermarket are made of steel.
- Steel cans are also called 'tins' because they are coated with a very fine layer of tin – another metal.
