Your Ecological Footprint, continued

The world’s resources are not distributed evenly. At the moment, people in the richer countries of the world, like the United States, make up only 20% of the world’s population but use about 80% of the world’s resources. Do you think that this is fair? If we can all reduce our individual ecological footprints, then the standard of living in poorer countries will be able to improve without increasing damage to the environment.

To calculate your own personal ecological footprint, and find out more about footprinting visit a great ecological footprint calculator at www.rprogress.org.
