Looking after Your Worms, continued

To remove your worms, place the entire contents of the worm farm on a large sheet of plastic. The worms will move into the center, away from the light. Scoop off the outer layer of the pile. Wait a minute for the worms to move back into the center of this smaller pile, then scoop off the outer layer again. You can keep doing this until you just have a clean ball of pink worms left.

Alternatively, place some food - like cereal bran - on top of the worm farm. The worms will move to the top to eat the food and the top layer can be removed.
