Recycling Saves Resources

Manufacturing products from raw materials often uses huge amounts of natural resources. By buying products made from recycled materials we can really cut down on our resource use.

Take this example - if every household in the U.S. replaced just one roll of 500-sheet virgin fiber bathroom tissue with a 100% recycled one, we could save:

• 297,000 trees
• 1.2 million cubic feet of landfill space (equal to 1,400 full garbage trucks)
• 122 million gallons of water (a years supply for 3,500 families of four)
• As well as vast amounts of energy, fossil fuels and other resources.
