Shopping to Reuse

Sometimes we can choose to reuse a product instead of disposing of it. Before you make a decision to buy, think how the product is going to be used. For example:

Disposable plastic cups might be the most practical choice if we are at an event away from home, but washable plastic cups that can be reused might be better at a smaller event like a birthday party. And, if it’s just for one person, a reusable plastic drink bottle can be used over and over again.

So be a Smart Shopper and remember:

• Think how you will use a product before you buy it; and
• When possible, buy products that can be reused.
