Organic – Organic fruit and vegetables are grown without the use of synthetic fertilisers or pesticides. Organic farmers use fertilisers and pesticides made from animal or vegetable matter instead. Animals farmed organically are raised without the use of antibiotics, hormones, or other chemicals. Some people prefer organic food for these reasons. Others believe that organic farming is a more sustainable form of agriculture, as it reduces the amount of agricultural chemicals entering our soils and waterways.

So to be a Smart Shopper check the packaging and follow this easy rule:

Choose products that are made and used in an environmentally responsible manner.
