  • Over 90% of all paper packaging made in Australia is produced from recycled paper and cardboard.
  • Newspapers hold the best recycling record of all materials. Around 700,000 tonnes of newsprint is used to print newspapers in Australia each year and by 2001 more than 72 % of it was being recovered for recycling into new newsprint and other paper products.
