  • The first paper mill in Australia to use recycled material opened in 1815, using recycled rags as a source of fibre. The Australian paper industry has always used recycled paper as a major source of fibre.
  • Australians use more than 3.2 million tones of paper and cardboard every year – a bit over 60% of this is recycled.
